The Supported Living Service was recently established in February 2023 as part of Quality of Life Homecare to support and care for adult service users aged 18-65 years old.
Our success in supporting numerous service users within the domiciliary care sector to achieve more independence, has led to local authorities requesting additional services, including supported living.
In excess of 120 staffs are employed within Quality of Life with the necessary skills, experience and qualifications for the provision of services to individuals in their own homes and also within our supported living accommodation, with a wide range of support/care needs, including Learning Disabilities, Autism, Challenging Behaviour and Mental health.

We are committed to the highest standards and quality of care with delivery based on a multi-disciplinary contribution, having at its centre the service users and people significant to them. In particular, we are committed to the development of positive lifestyles for individuals and for them to lead the fullest possible life within the community.

Our Support Workers

All our staff receive mandatory training and are required to complete the Care Certificate (Skills for Care) as part of their induction programme. We believe in values-based recruitment to match the needs of our Service Users taking into consideration the diverse make-up of our community. We are committed to investing in the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) of our staff, with the aim that all achieve at least a level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care.

Our staff have received Mandatory Training in Oliver McGowan, Autism and Mental Health

We work with BILD to provide the necessary training such as Positive Behaviour support to enable us to understand and manage behaviour that challenges.

We are proud of the level of quality and attention to service users’ needs that our care staff provides. In addition, two of our managers possess an MSc in person-centred health and social care, and two other managers possess NVQ level 5 in Leadership for health and social care. Our HR & compliance officer is also a holder of an MA. Education and a Diploma in Mental Health and Wellbeing. We all have substantial additional experience in supporting people with a more complex range of needs.
We will continue to invest in the further development of staff to continually respond to individuals’ actual and changing needs and wishes.
