By upholding the following principles, we deliver the best possible care and support
We go to great lengths to ensure we never fall below the high standards of care and companionship that we set ourselves.
We are committed to ensuring that everyone in our care has the right to expect the following:
Person-centred care
All your care or treatment will be tailored to meet your personal needs and preferences. You will be allocated your own supervisor who will assess your needs regularly and ensure any changes in your care needs are met at all times.
Dignity and respect
You will be treated with dignity and respect at all times. You will have privacy when you want it and receive all help necessary to maintain your independence and involvement in any interests or activities.
Consent
Consent will be provided by you (or anybody legally acting on your behalf) before any care or treatment is given to you.
Safety
All staff have the qualifications, competence, skills and experience to keep you safe, and all care and treatment will be assessed for any potential risks to your health and safety.
Safeguarding from abuse
You will never experience any kind of abuse, such as neglect, degrading treatment, unnecessary or disproportionate restraint or inappropriate limits on your freedom. All care staff are fully trained in safeguarding and how to report abuse, and understand how to identify different types of abuse.
Food and drink
We will ensure you always have nourishing food and drink to enjoy, maintaining your health and satisfying your personal preferences.
Premises and equipment
When you receive care or treatment, all locations and equipment will be clean, suitable and properly maintained.
Complaints
You will be given every opportunity to comment on the standard of your care, and we will register and respond to every request and piece of feedback.
Good governance
We have plans in place to ensure continuity of care in the event of ‘unexpected’ events, such as power failures or personal illness.
Staffing
Your care will never be compromised by lack of resources or personnel. There will always be enough suitably trained members of staff to uphold our high standards.
Fit and proper staff
All our employees are fully trained and competent in their particular roles. They are thoroughly vetted beforehand to ensure we only recruit the most professional and most compassionate staff.
Duty of candour
We will always be completely open and transparent with you about your care and treatment. If there is any problem or issue, we will always raise it with you and keep you fully informed.
